KANUNGU — The People’s Front for Freedom (PFF) has confirmed that its long-awaited district launch in Kanungu will take place this week, in what promises to be a defining political moment for the region.

The event, expected to draw large crowds of supporters, will be presided over by the Governor of the Kigezi Federal State Government, Hon. Fred Tumuheirwe Turyamuhweza, alongside his federal cabinet ministers, including Kanungu’s own Hon. Benedicto Niwamanya.
According to the official program, invited guests and community members will gather at the Catholic Social Centre starting at 11:00 a.m., with the official launch ceremony slated for 2:00 p.m. The venue has been described by party leaders as the symbolic “nursery where this Freedom mandate shall start germinating.”

Speaking to this publication ahead of the function, Hon. Benedicto Niwamanya said the day will not only mark the introduction of PFF structures in Kanungu but also give people the opportunity to directly interact with the party’s vision and strategies.
“This event is going to be a time for our people to know the PFF agenda for Kanungu District. We shall give our candidates campaign guidelines and a code of conduct, empower our party structures, and officially launch our district offices,” Hon. Niwamanya Benedicto said.

He further emphasized that PFF’s mission is distinct from traditional political launches.
> “As a party that seeks real regime change, our approach cannot be the same. We call upon all members, youth, women, elders, religious leaders, and every community member to turn up in person. This is a generational mandate, and it starts here in Kanungu.”

The Catholic Social Centre, long regarded as a hub for community activity, will serve as the backdrop for the unveiling of the People’s Manifesto. Hon. Niwamanya Benedicto stressed its importance, saying:
> “Knowing the content of the People’s Manifesto is the reason every citizen is invited. This manifesto belongs to the people, and it is the tool that will guide our struggle and shape the future.”

PFF Organizers say the event will be both symbolic and practical , cementing PFF’s presence in Kanungu while offering the community a platform to understand and participate in the movement’s broader national agenda.
Party leaders are encouraging the entire community to attend, promising that the launch will be “the first seed of freedom planted in Kanungu, whose fruits will spread across the nation.”…
” FREEDOM FOR ALL, ALL FOR FREEDOM” is the slogan.
